Vote for 5 seats in UP’s Legislative Council today


Lucknow, 30 January (IAS). Biennial elections for his five seats on the Legislative Council will take place on Monday. Voting begins at 8:00 am and continues until 4:00 pm.

These 39 districts including Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Unnao, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Badaun, Rampur, Moradabad, Amroha, Bijnor and Sambhal. , Balaich, Shravasti, Gonda, Balampur, Basti, Siddharth Nagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakpur, Maharajganj, Deoria, Kushinagar, Azamgar, Mau, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ameti, Ambedkar Nagar.

Additional Chief Election Officer Ratnesh Singh includes three postgraduate constituencies of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, Gorakhpur Faizabad Graduate Constituency, Kanpur Graduate Constituency, Bareri Moradabad Graduate Constituency and Allahabad Jhansi Teacher 2 He said there would be two teacher precinct ballots.

In the three graduate districts, 63,200 people voted, of which 39,300 were male and 23,900 were female voters.

In the two parishes, 53.92 million people voted, of which about 35,000 were men and more than 18,000 were women.

There are 44 candidates competing in three graduate districts and 19 candidates in two teacher districts. Sixty-three candidates are vying for five seats.

Observers, along with 594 sector magistrates and 234 zone magistrates, were also deployed by the Electoral Commission to each constituency to monitor the votes.
