Marathwada also received unseasonal rain on Saturday. Meanwhile, there was heavy rain along with hail at some places. Hailstorm occurred in Karanjkhed and Pishore areas of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Along with Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Latur, Hingol, Parbhani districts also received unseasonal rain on Saturday and due to this, farmers have suffered a lot.
Crops have been damaged due to unseasonal rains in Hingoli district. Areas with mango orchards including sorghum, wheat, gram, watermelon and cantaloupe suffered extensive damage due to hailstorm and gale force winds.
Unseasonal rains wreaked havoc in Parbhani for the third consecutive day. After two o’clock on Saturday, hailstorm and rain occurred in Parbhani, Manawat, Sonpeth, Gangakhed, Purna, Selu talukas with strong gale. While in Gangakhed, Selu, Sonpeth talukas there was damage due to hailstorm.
Rains lashed Renapur, Pangaon, Takalgaon, Mohgaon, Talni villages in Latur district. Rain lashed Nilangya from midnight on Friday.
