Musk took over as Twitter CEO in October
San Francisco: Twitter CEO Elon Musk vacated the position. Elon Musk tweeted that Twitter’s new CEO has been found and that he will take up the position within the next eight weeks. After leaving the CEO position, Musk clarified that he would move to the position of Twitter’s Chief Technology Officer. Meanwhile, the names of the new CEOs have not been revealed.
NBCUniversal Comcast NBCUniversal executive Linda Yacarino is the new Twitter CEO, The Wall Street Journal reports. There are also reports that Musk spoke with Catherine about taking on the new role.
Musk found Yakarinoye to lead Twitter, reports Reuters. Yacarino and Musk were seen during a conference held in Miami last month. Meanwhile, Yakarino was not ready to respond to the news.
Musk took over as Twitter CEO in October. Twitter was bought for 44 billion US dollars and the post was acquired. Musk had already informed that he was ready to resign as Twitter CEO.
Musk conducted a Twitter poll on whether he should continue as Twitter chief. 57.5 percent of the people recorded the opinion that Musk should not be in that position. Only 42.5 percent people said that Musk should continue. After this, Musk informed that he is ready to vacate the Twitter CEO position.
