On the last trading day of the week, the domestic stock market closed with gains for the second consecutive day. The Sensex closed at a level of 57,989.90 points with a gain of 355.06 (0.62%) points on Friday. At the same time, the Nifty closed at a level of 17,100.05 points with a gain of 114.45 (0.67%) points. Shares of R Infra gained six per cent while HCL Tech gained up to four per cent during Friday’s trading session.

However, it is a matter of relief that the business ended on the green mark in the last two days of the week due to the rapid return of global markets. The Indian rupee closed at a level of 82.56 points against the dollar on the last trading day of the week with a strength of 20 paise.
During Friday’s trading session, banking, metal, IT and realty sector stocks showed strength. HCL Tech was the biggest gainer in the Nifty. It showed an increase of 3.68 percent. On the other hand, shares of Eicher Motors and NTPC declined by one per cent each.
