The body of India’s popular DJ Ajax aka Akshay Kumar has been recovered from his home. His hanging body was found at his house in Odisha’s Bhubaneswar on Saturday (March 18) night.
Odisha TV reported that power services were suspended due to heavy rain on Saturday night. At that time DJ Ajax entered his house and closed the door. After many calls, there was no response. Around 10 pm, the family members broke the door and saw his body hanging from the ceiling fan.
He was rushed to a local private hospital where the doctors declared him dead. Police have sent the body to Capital Hospital for post-mortem. It is initially believed that Ajax committed suicide. However, the police are reluctant to make any official comment until the preliminary report of the autopsy.
DJ Ajax’s family claims it was not suicide, but murder. Ajax’s uncle Bholanath Moharna told Odisha TV, ‘I came to know about this incident around 10:30 on Saturday night. Later the family took Akshay to the hospital. He had a relationship with a girl. That girl and another friend of hers are involved in this incident.’
Drawing the attention of the police, Bholanath said, ‘Akshay’s mobile phone has everything, it should be verified by the police.’
