Tata Motors has unveiled the updated Harrier and Safari SUVs. The company may launch it next month. It is expected to go on sale in March next month. What’s new in the 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari?
With the new update, both the SUVs get forward collision warning with 360-degree camera, automatic emergency braking, road sign detection, high beam detection, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, lane departure warning and more gets ADAS features like Both have a panoramic sunroof.
In addition, both SUVs will get a new infotainment system with a next-generation 10.25-inch touchscreen. The current model came with an 8.8-inch unit. At the same time, it now supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The new infotainment system also supports voice commands in 6 languages. Additionally, both now feature a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster.
2023 Tata Harrier and Safari Engine Specifications
Both the Harrier and the Safari come with a 2.0-litre turbodiesel capable of producing 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. It comes with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. However, this engine now complies with Bharat Stage Phase-II norms. Both have updated driving modes along with ESP terrain response system.
2023 Tata Harrier and Safari Price
With new features for the engine and new RDE norms, both SUVs are expected to be priced between Rs 50,000 and Rs 1 lakh more. The company is likely to introduce the Red Dark variant which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 soon.
Who will compete with Harrier and Safari?
The Harrier gets the updated MG Hector and the 5-seater Mahindra XUV700, while the Safari gets the updated MG Hector Plus, the 7-seater Mahindra XUV700 and the Hyundai Alcazar.
