Tyagi was arrested on August 9 by Noida police in Meerut. He was booked beneath Sections 354 (outraging modesty of lady and assault), 447 (legal trespass), 323 (voluntarily inflicting damage), 504 (intentional insult) and 506 (legal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
