Shameless supporters of Amritpal

The actions of some people are such that one automatically remembers a dialogue from the serial “Ramayana”, “Nirlajj, tu phir aa gaya?” Both the central government and the Punjab administration are behind Amritpal, even at the international level no country wants to mess with India on this subject, but some people have the courage to stop supporting Amritpal.

Read in this article how even now some people are ready to defend anti-social elements like Amritpal Singh to serve their interests. So let’s start without delay.

SGPC connection of Amritpal….

The Punjab Police is taking prompt action against Khalistani supporter Amritpal Singh, the mastermind of “Waris Punjab De”. Almost every person associated with Amritpal Singh has either been interrogated by the police or has been taken into custody. Not only this, the Center and the local agencies of Punjab are jointly taking action against everyone who is promoting Amritpal Singh, whether in Punjab or abroad.

But in the midst of all these incidents, there are some people of such shameless and poisonous mentality who are still supporting Amritpal for their personal selfishness and want to promote anarchy in Punjab in the name of defending him.

Foremost among these is the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee of Punjab. Regarding the police action against Amritpal, even though he did not take Amritpal’s name directly, he criticized the action against the Sikh youth.

In his first statement given on 19 March 2023, SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami had said, “Punjab Police and [पंजाब और हरियाणा] Rules have been laid down by the High Court that if an FIR is registered then steps will be taken to arrest someone. I believe that due to the action taken since yesterday till now, there is an atmosphere of panic among the public. Buses have been stopped. Section 144 has been imposed. Internet has been suspended.”

After this SGPC released an official statement. Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Harpreet Singh said, “Governments should desist from adopting the practice of harassment and illegal detention of youths who are democratically speaking up for their rights, as Punjab has already suffered a lot and deserves a better future It is necessary now to move towards.

The SGPC claimed that the youth (Amritpal and his associates) ‘speak for their rights in a democratic manner’. It was also said, “It seems that the government is creating unnecessary panic among the public. Internet is down and due to this misinformation is spreading among the people.

Correct information is not reaching the people. Similar audacity was done by the then government three decades back. Sikhs and the rest of the country faced its effects. Similar plans are being run to malign the image of Sikhs, harm Punjab and gain political mileage. Sikh youths in the age group of 16-17 years are being illegally detained.”

Shiromani Akali Dal will provide legal assistance

But SGPC is not the only one, which is supporting Amritpal even after so many actions. Shiromani Akali Dal and Congress are also opposing the police action against Amritpal’s supporters.

Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal has spoken of providing legal help to these Sikh youths. At the same time, Congress Punjab President Amarinder Singh Raja Wading has written a letter to the DGP of Punjab expressing concern over the arrest of supporters.

Sukhbir Singh Badal termed the police action against Amritpal’s supporters as ‘extra-constitutional’. Badal said that indiscriminate action is being taken against Sikh youths only on the basis of suspicion. He has asked the party leaders to provide legal help to these youths. At the same time, Akali Dal leader Virsa Singh Valtoha said that opposing the imposition of National Security Act ie NSA on Amritpal’s supporters, demanded its withdrawal.

Shiromani Akali Dal has decided to provide complete legal assistance to all Sikh youth arrested in the ongoing extra-constitutional crackdown in Punjab and ensure their rights are not trampled upon by @AAPPunjab govt.

Congress giving competition to chameleon

But in this matter the Congress is different from all of them. The rest of the two finished their respective duties with verbal support. But the Congress which once boasted of killing Bhindranwale and “ending Khalistan”, today the same Congress is not only opposing the action being taken on Amritpal, but has also given free rein to his anarchic supporters to hold a support rally in Chhattisgarh. Has been

Earlier, the President of Punjab Congress has also expressed concern about the arrests. The local police has issued a notice to the organizers in view of the increasing controversy over taking out the rally without permission.

Slogans were raised at a rally taken out in support of Amritpal in Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur. The effigy of Punjab Police was burnt. The rally was taken out from Telibandha Gurdwara in Raipur to AAP office.

The people involved in this burnt the effigy of the Punjab government outside the AAP office and protested against the police action. The protesters said that Amritpal was working against the drug mafia. The government is trying to defame him by calling him a terrorist. On the other hand, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that ever since the new government has been formed in Punjab, the situation there is continuously getting worse. This is unfortunate.

Earlier, Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Vading has also talked about Baghel’s tone. He had written to the Punjab DGP expressing concern over the arrest and said that the party does not support leniency against extremists, but there is a need to rehabilitate the misguided youth. He had said that the police of Punjab is arresting Sikh youths by calling them supporters of Amritpal, which is a matter of concern.

In such a situation, it would not be wrong to say that while on one hand the Punjab Government and the Central Government are trying their best to bring Amritpal under the grip of the law, on the other hand there are some people who are still supporting this anarchist and are trying to set Punjab on fire. Is determined to keep their politics going.
