Railways has prepared an AI program, passengers will no longer worry about confirmed tickets!

Rail passengers often complain that their waiting tickets get confirmed on very rare occasions. Along with this, even in case of emergency, passengers have to face trouble for confirmed tickets. Now to overcome this problem, Railways is coming up with an Artificial Intelligence (AI) program. Testing of this program has been successfully completed. Passengers are expected to get great relief with the help of this program. With the help of AI, the waiting list can be reduced by five to six percent. When this program was tested, it was found that most of the passengers had confirmed tickets.

Railways has prepared it in-house. The ‘Ideal Train Profile’ prepared by the Railway’s software arm Center for Railway Information System (CRIS) was fed information of about 200 long distance trains including Rajdhani.

How does AI work?

During the test, several patterns were detected with the help of AI. Like how the passengers booked the ticket and how much distance has to be covered for the ticket. Along with this, it was seen that in what part which seats remained vacant during the travel period. Railway officials told that the department wanted to complete the trial of this Artificial Intelligence (AI) program before the May-June holiday period. The reason for this is that the demand for confirmed tickets is high at this time. A large number of people are unable to get confirmed tickets.

Benefit of crores with the help of software

According to another Rail Bhavan official, Indian Railways works with a 1 billion ticket combination for all its reserved trains. He claims that with the help of AI, the Railways can earn an additional revenue of Rs 1 crore per train every year. It is being claimed that the more updated version of AI comes out with time.
