The BJP is attacking the remarks of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi (Congress MP Rahul Gandhi) regarding democracy in India. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi reached Parliament on Thursday and said he would speak in the House if allowed. While leaving the Parliament, Rahul said that if they allow me to speak in the Parliament, I will say what I feel. The government has demanded an apology for his remarks made in London.
Rahul Gandhi addressed the press conference. He said, “In the morning I went to Parliament and spoke to the Speaker (Lok Sabha) that I wanted to speak. Four ministers of the government had leveled allegations against me, so I have the right to speak in the House. I hope I will be allowed to speak in Parliament tomorrow. A few days ago I had given a speech in the House raising questions on Modiji and Adaniji, that speech was deleted. There was nothing in the speech that could be extracted from the public record.”
According to the news agency PTI, Rahul Gandhi said that BJP will not like it when I speak inside the Parliament. He also said that he would speak outside Parliament if he was not allowed. Meanwhile, leaders of several opposition parties formed a human chain inside the Parliament House complex.
The decision to form the human chain was taken at a meeting chaired by Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge. Leaders of DMK, NCP, SP, RJD, BRS, CPIM, CPI, JDU, Shiv Sena (UBT), JMM, MDMK, AAP, VCK and IUML attended the meeting. TMC did not participate in the meeting.
On the other hand, the opposition is continuously creating ruckus on the Adani issue. The opposition is demanding a JPC probe on the issue of Adani shares. Mallikarjun Kharge said, “Our aim is that there should be a discussion regarding the JPC probe into the Adani case. We want JPC to be formed, that’s why we are protesting. The government is not listening, the government ministers and BJP MPs are creating ruckus to close the house.”
