Pallavi Chatterjee is the sister of Prasenjit Chatterjee, a talented actor of Indian Bengali cinema. Someone made this actress appear dead and looted about 12 lakh taka. The claim of the actress – 9 lakh 17 thousand rupees (more than 11 lakh 94 thousand rupees in Bangladeshi currency) disappeared from her public provident fund account.
According to an Indian media, Pallaveer had a PPF fund in Axis Bank on Sarat Bose Road in Kolkata. He has been saving money there for several years. He suddenly found out from the bank that his account has been closed. So far it has been the same. But the incident took a turn when the actress came to know that all the money accumulated in her provident fund disappeared. All the money was withdrawn from the account of this actress, who was shown to be dead.
Pallavi Chatterjee expressed surprise and said, ‘I have asked the bank if I am dead, then I have to show my death certificate. Where is that? I did not get a reply. Actually it is a big fraud cycle going on. Such a big fraud in a centrally controlled system! It happened to me today, maybe it’s happening to many others, we don’t know. I could have gone to our sister (Mamata Banerjee) in this case! I am amazed at such fraud in such a centrally controlled system.’
After this incident, Pallavi filed a case at Kadeya police station. However, the bank authorities told Pallavi that the lost money will be returned by April 16-17. However, this actress is doubtful whether she will get the money at all.
