There is a wave of mourning in the film industry due to the demise of film director Pradeep Sarkar. He died on March 24 at 3:30 in the morning. He was cremated late Friday evening at the cremation ground in Santacruz, Mumbai. All the stars associated with Bollywood and TV arrived to bid him a final farewell. Many stars including Dia Mirza, Vidya Balan, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Rhea Chakraborty, Divyanka Tripathi, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sakshi Tanwar, Vidhu Vinod Chopra attended his funeral.
Diya Mirza and Rani Mukherjee’s eyes were moist. Rani Mukherjee was seen saying on this occasion that she was in Amritsar a few days ago and only then had she spoken to her grandfather. He wanted to FaceTime, but it didn’t work out because of Network Week. Rani Mukherjee said, “Panchali Bhabhi informed me on the phone at 4 in the morning about Dada’s absence, and I was shocked. He was recovering now and started going to work too, but all of a sudden this happened. I still can’t believe it.”
Pradeep Sarkar was the best director of Bollywood, who gave many films to this industry. These include ‘Parineeta’, ‘Helicopter Eela’, ‘Laga Chunari Mein Daag: Journey of a Woman’, ‘Lafange Parindey’, ‘Mardaani’. It is reported that he was about to make a film on the gap between children and parents, but he passed away before that. He was one of the great directors of Bollywood. Apart from being a director, he was also a great writer.
