The government is serious about the complaints of increasing obscene content on OTT platforms. If there is a need to make any changes in the rules in this regard, then his ministry will not back down from it. We will take strict action to stop obscenity and abuse. Rudeness cannot be accepted at all.
Anurag Thakur’s statement regarding OTT
Actually Anurag Thakur had reached Nagpur in a press conference. Where he said that ‘somewhere complaints regarding the OTT platform have started increasing in the recent past. We are taking this very seriously. Right steps will be taken at the right time. Till now the process is that at the first level the producer of the film has to remove those complaints. 90-92 percent of complaints are resolved by making the same changes. After that the complaints are resolved at the level of their association, then most of the complaints are resolved there. In further matters, when it comes to the government level, there is a departmental committee. We take action according to the rules of strict action in it.
