How to add voice note statuses in WhatsApp
Recently WhatsApp has introduced many new features for Android users. The facility to send status and voice notes is offered to WhatsApp users on Android devices. Meta-owned instant messaging platform WhatsApp is now rolling out a feature for iOS users to post voice notes as status updates.
Voice notes from chats can be posted as status, but they must not exceed 30 seconds in length. To record voice status in WhatsApp, go to ‘Status’ tab. There tap on the floating button with the pencil icon and click on the microphone icon at the bottom right corner of the screen.
As with recording voice notes, the button starts recording when you tap and hold it and stops recording when you release it. After that all you need to do is tap on the send icon.
The WhatsApp changelog in the App Store indicates the release of picture-in-picture mode for WhatsApp video calls on iOS.
This feature was added last month. WhatsApp is still working on a feature for posting voice status updates. So you will have to wait a few more days for the feature to reach your iOS device.
In the last few weeks, many functions like split view for Android tablets, call link feature for Windows, feature to schedule group calls have also been included in the WhatsApp platform.
