linking pan with aadhaar
The Finance Act 2017 added a new section 139AA to the Income Tax Act 1961, under which it is mandatory to quote your Aadhaar number while applying for PAN or furnishing return of income with effect from 1 July 2017. If you have not yet linked PAN card with Aadhaar, then you will have to link them before March 31, 2023.
If PAN card is not linked, then from April 1, 2023, you will not be able to use PAN card. Once the PAN card holder misses this deadline, the 10 digit unique alphanumeric number will be deactivated and the PAN card will be closed. In such a situation, check whether your PAN card is linked with Aadhaar card or not.
