In which the central government had formed three Grievance Appellate Committees (GAC) to curb the arbitrariness of Twitter and Facebook. All these committees will start working from March 1.

The arbitrariness of social media companies like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter will be curbed from March 1. For this, the Central Government has announced the formation of three Grievance Appellate Committees (GAC), which will start functioning from March 1, 2023. These committees will settle the complaints of the users within 30 days. Users will also be able to complain about the arbitrariness of Facebook and Twitter online. After this, the committee will put the matter of the users in front of the officials of the ministry.

The committees set up by the IT ministry will also review moderating content by social media companies like Meta and Twitter.
