The objective? Help girls who hit all-time low after struggles with issues like habit and jail.
Founder Bethany Little created all of it so girls may have the alternatives she as soon as wished she had.
“Being in and out of jail myself, being caught up in my addiction, and I went into treatment homeless and I came out homeless,” she stated.
What began as a dream finally changed into a step-by-step program adopted by the primary secure home. Today, this system’s fourth home is open.
Soon, seven girls can have a roof over their heads.
“I’m almost lost for words. You know, to think that six years ago I was homeless and, on the streets, to now being able to help other women off the streets and give them a little bit of courage,” Little stated.
Including Candace, who has been getting assist from Bethany’s group for nearly a yr.
“I had came from being incarcerated and it was kind of like a never-ending cycle for me,” she stated.
Eventually, Candace knew she wanted a change and turned to Bethany for assist.
“The day of actually coming, I was nervous, I didn’t know what to expect and you know she welcomed me with open arms.”
Now, she’s the place she belongs.
“Throughout my life, I was always pondering on what I want to do, what I could’ve done and I never got to it,” Candace stated. “I was always putting myself last. And I don’t know, just being here in this program and learning how to live life on life’s terms by myself, not by myself but for myself.”
Today she has her eyes set on her future, and for Bethany, that is a win.
“It means everything to me. This is what my mission is, and this is what I live for today. And so, I’m just blessed that God gave me this second chance,” Bethany stated.
