Netflix is planning a slate of Gears of War diversifications, the streaming service introduced on Monday. First up is a “live action feature film,” then “an adult animated series,” and after that, there’s the “potential for more stories to follow,” Netflix said. Netflix can be working with The Coalition, the Vancouver-based Xbox Games Studio that manages the Gears of War franchise, to deliver the franchise to the streaming service. There aren’t any particulars about when the diversifications can be launched.
The announcement arrives on the sixteenth anniversary of the discharge of the primary Gears of War recreation, which got here out in 2006. Since then, the sequence has had a number of sequels (the most recent being 2019’s Gears 5) and a handful of spinoffs, together with one themed round Funko Pops.
