Actress Mahia Mahi has been arrested by the police from Dhaka Shahjalal International Airport in a Digital Security Act case.
Gazipur Metropolitan Police DC (Media) Ibrahim Khan confirmed his arrest on Saturday (March 17) afternoon.

He said that Mahi is being brought to the Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner’s office. Her husband Rakib Sarkar is absconding.
A case was filed under the Digital Security Act against Mahia Mahi and her husband Rakib Sarkar on Friday (March 17) night. The case was filed by Sub-Inspector (SI) of Basan police station Mohammad Rokon Miah.
Earlier, Mahi, who had gone to perform Umrah with her husband, had alleged vandalism and assault on Rakib’s car showroom on Facebook Live from Makkah, Saudi Arabia early Friday morning. After some time, Rakib Sarkar and Mahi came on Facebook Live and complained that Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Molya Nazrul Islam is taking over the car showroom for 1.5 crore rupees.
