Actress Mahia Mahi has been sent to jail by the court in a Digital Security Act case filed at Gazipur Basan police station.
Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Commissioner Molya Nazrul Islam said that he was sent to jail on Saturday (March 18) around 1:30 p.m.

Earlier, the police arrested him from Dhaka Shahjalal International Airport around 10:30 this morning.
It has been found that Mahia Mahi was taken to Gazipur Chief Judicial Magistrate around 1:30 PM. Later, Mahiya Mahi was remanded for 7 days by the police. However, the court judge did not grant remand and ordered to send him to prison.
A case was registered under the Digital Security Act against Mahia Mahi and her husband Rakib Sarkar on Friday night (March 17). The case was filed by Sub-Inspector (SI) of Basan police station Mohammad Rokon Miah.
Earlier, Mahia Mahi, who was going to perform Umrah with her husband, alleged vandalism and attack on Raqib’s car showroom on Facebook Live from Makkah, Saudi Arabia early Friday morning. After some time, Rakib Sarkar and Mahia Mahi came on Facebook Live and complained that Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Molya Nazrul Islam is taking over the car showroom for 1.5 million rupees.
