The Wall Bureau: Director Karan Johar’s film is coming to the big screen after almost seven years. ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ (RARKPK) stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles along with actors and actresses like Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi in other important roles. There are also two famous artists of this Bengal. They are Tota Roy Chowdhury and Churni Ganguly. It was already known that they are acting in Karan’s film. However, no one has opened up about their character in public. Finally, after the first look of the film was released on Thursday, the two Banga stars finally spoke about the film.
Two pictures were posted on social media by the film’s production company ‘Dharma Productions’ on Thursday. Where the identity of the hero and heroine’s family is revealed to the audience. Hero i.e. Ranveer Singh’s character’s family name is Randhawa. They are Sikhs by caste. On the other hand, Alia’s character’s family surname is Chatterjee. That is, they are Bengali by race. The film is about the story of these two families.
And Tota and Churni were seen in this Bengali family film. They were seen on both sides of Madhyamani Alia in the picture. Tota and Churni are sitting on either side of the actress. Most likely, two Bengali artists are playing the roles of Alia’s parents. Both were seen in Bengali attire. Tota was wearing a white Punjabi-pajama and a ghee colored shawl. On the other hand, Churni wore a flower print yellow colored jamdani saree. The makers have released their first look in Bengali attire.
