According to Nielsen, there are 9.36 million posts on social media across all platforms, with a cumulative reach of 262 billion and an engagement of 5.95 billion. Qatar 2022 set a series of World Cup records. Three million 40 thousand spectators watched the matches in the stadiums, which is the highest in history. The highest number of goals were scored during the tournament with 172 goals.
Argentina’s Lionel Messi played in the most World Cup matches with 26, surpassing Germany’s Lothar Matthäus and Canada’s Alfonso Davies’ 68-second goal against Croatia was the fastest goal in World Cup history. Argentina won the World Cup football title.
