The India Open 2023 begins in New Delhi on January 17. In this five-day tournament, many legendary badminton stars from all over the world including India will be seen. Before the start of the tournament, two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu attended the press conference and gave a big response.
“The India Open has always been a special tournament for me as I get to play in front of a home crowd. Last time the fans were not allowed, but this time I am looking forward to playing with everyone’s support in the stands. ‘
PV Sindhu reacts to Thailand player’s comments
Sindhu will open her challenge against Thailand’s Supanida Katethong. Against the same player, she lost in the semi-finals here last year. The Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist admitted that the left-handed Thai was not easy to understand but now she is ready for it and can comfortably face her challenge.
“Yes, I lost to them last time but I have beaten them after that. I have also worked on some new things and you will see those changes in the tournament. ‘
Pv Sindhu made a comeback with the Malaysia Open Super 1000 tournament earlier this month after being away from the court for a long time due to injury.
The India Open has been upgraded to the Super 750 category from this year and that is why legendary players from all over the world will compete for the title at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi.
