India has expedited the final location survey for the Raxaul-Kathmandu rail line. After this the way will be clear to run the train till Kathmandu. At the same time, due to India’s action, China has also come into action and has increased its pace.
In the last one month, China has tried to enter every neighboring country of India. China has tried to implicate Nepal, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Bhutan one after the other. These neighboring countries of India have also come under the guise of China. Despite helping the neighboring countries, when India noticed that they were still getting trapped in the trap of China, India also started treating them. In Nepal, which has become the arena of ‘war’ between India and China, the Modi government has given a befitting reply to the nefarious conspiracy of the dragon. India has expedited the final location survey for the Raxaul-Kathmandu rail line. After this the way will be clear to run the train till Kathmandu. At the same time, due to India’s action, China has also come into action and has increased its pace. China has now launched a study to examine the feasibility of the Kerung-Kathmandu railway line. This speed in the move of the dragon has come after the KP Oli-backed Prachanda government came to power.
Chinese trick to trap Nepal in debt trap like Sri Lanka
Meanwhile, experts say that through this billion-dollar railway line, China wants to trap Nepal in debt trap like Sri Lanka. This railway line is to be built through the middle of the Himalayas, which will be very expensive and technically very challenging. Not only this, crores of rupees will be spent to keep the railway line running after it is built. China wants to build this rail line under the Belt and Road project, the full cost of which it wants to recover from Nepal. Meanwhile, the Government of Nepal wants China to give it financial assistance in lieu of loan. China does not seem ready for this.
India has left behind China in terms of running trains
According to the report of Kathmandu Post, running of train in Nepal has now become a matter of dispute between India and China. Both countries do not want to let their influence in Nepal end. Last December, a 6-member team from China had arrived for the railway survey. For the first time after Corona, the Chinese survey team had come to Nepal. Nepal’s Railway Ministry spokesman Aman said, “The Chinese team visited various sites of the proposed rail network and returned to China after conducting the survey on Tuesday.” Aman said that now we can say that the feasibility study of running the train has now progressed. In this way, India has left China far behind in terms of running trains. Another railway official Rohit Kumar Bisural said the Indian side has completed its fieldwork for the final location survey to run the train from Raxaul to Kathmandu in Bihar. From the Indian side, the entire project is being implemented by the Konkan Railway. This company will give its report between April and May. Earlier in March 2016, when KP Oli, who danced to the tunes of China, visited Beijing, the two countries had signed an agreement for railways.
$3 billion spent on railway between China and Nepal
After this, India’s ears were raised and it proposed a plan to run a train between Raxaul and Kathmandu. After this, this railway line was signed in the year 2018 during the then PM KP Oli’s visit to India. India is providing financial assistance for this electric railway line. At the same time, about $ 3 billion will be spent on building a railway line between China and Nepal. Nepalese experts say that it will take 42 months for China to study this rail project. India made a late start but will soon complete its final ranking survey. This rail line will be 141 km long.
