A brand new podcast is being launched by Saturday Night Live alums Dana Carvey and David Spade. The pair will host the weekly podcast discuss present titled Fly on the Wall from Cadence13. The sequence will see them sit down with previous and current solid members, hosts, writers, and musical friends to reminisce about their favourite moments, recollections, and sketches.
Carvey is finest identified for starring as Garth in SNL spinoff movie Wayne’s World in addition to characters like The Church Lady, and was a solid member between 1986 and 1993. Spade began as a author in 1990 earlier than changing into a solid member and stayed on the present by means of 1996 together with co-stars Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, Rob Schneider, and Chris Rock.
“Each week, the pair will take listeners behind the scenes and share never-before told stories about their careers and time on the long-running sketch comedy and variety show. They’ll discuss the stories behind their favorite characters and impressions, the jokes behind the jokes, life on and off the set, how being a part of SNL has impacted their lives, and more.”
Guests will embody Chris Rock, Tom Hanks, Darrell Hammond, Kevin Nealon, Jon Lovitz, Martin Short, Melanie Hutsell, Ana Gasteyer, Tim Meadows, Laraine Newman, Rob Lowe, and Will Forte.
Dana Carvey stated of the undertaking:
“David is a blast to hangout and riff with—he’s been a great friend for years, not to mention one of the funniest comics out there. We were lucky enough to overlap on SNL for a few years, where I thought he was fantastic, and have been talking about it ever since. We have dinner twice a month and talk about life and show business—I usually pay, but I’m not bitter—and it made sense to start recording these conversations with our friends and turn them into Cadence13’s Fly on the Wall.”
David Spade added:
“Dana is a hilarious comedian and one of the great legends of SNL, and also a good friend. Having dinner with him over the years, we’ve always wound up talking about SNL. So, a Cadence13 podcast discussing show business, and the inside baseball of that show sounded like a perfect fit.”
I’m an enormous fan of SNL, particularly this period of Carvey and Spade. It’s once I first began watching the present, so it is going to be enjoyable to revisit with the celebrities. Season one will launch on January twelfth with Chris Rock and Rob Lowe. Will you be tuning in?
