- Nirmala Sitharaman has said that Rs 70,000 crore is being allocated under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme and through this, houses will be built under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme.
- In the budget, announcements have been made about groups to attract women. Finance Minister mentioned in the budget that 1 lakh women self help groups are going to be formed.
- Nirmala Sitharaman has said that Rs 6000 crore has been allocated for the development of fish sellers engaged in fish related business.
- A new micro savings scheme for women has been announced. Nirmala Sitharaman has announced the launch of a new small savings scheme for women at an interest rate of 7.5%. The project is named as ‘Makhila Samman’.
