Addressing a gathering, Bhagwat said that if we earn our living, we have a responsibility to the society. If every job is for society, how can any job be big or small or different? He said that God has always said that everyone is equal for him and there is no caste or sect for him, this is done by experts, which is wrong.
647th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwat Saint Shiromani Rohidas
Bhagwat was addressing a program organized at Ravindra Natya Mandir auditorium on the occasion of the 647th birth anniversary of Saint Shiromani Rohidas. He said that the conscience and consciousness of the country are the same, and only the opinions differ. The RSS chief said that the stature of Sant Rohidas is greater than Tulsidas, Kabir and Surdas, hence he is considered as Sant Shiromani. “Though he could not win over the Brahmins in the Shastrath, he touched many hearts and made them believe in God. Referring to Saint Rohidas, he said that the meaning of religion is not only to fill the stomach.
“Do your work, and do it according to your dharma. Unite the society and work for its development, because this is the religion. Because of such thoughts and high ideals, many great names became disciples of Saint Ravidas. the RSS chief said. Shri Bhagwat said that Saint Rohidas gave four mantras to the society – truth, compassion, inner purity and constant hard work and effort. “Pay attention to whatever is happening around you but don’t surrender your dharma under any circumstances. While the way of communicating religious messages is different, the messages themselves are the same. He said one should follow in one’s own religion, without hating other religions.

Controversy about the Ramcharitmanas
This statement of Bhagwat came at a time when a controversy erupted across the country over a couplet in Ramcharitmanas. Let us inform that first the education minister of Bihar Chandrashekhar and then the leader of the Samajwadi Party in UP, Swami Prasad Maurya, objected to some parts of Ramcharitmanas of Tulsidas. Maurya says that Tulsidas gave a certificate to the lower caste of Shudras to the concerned chapai.
