Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that about three lakh people will get employment from the textile park to be built in Amravati, Maharashtra. This includes one lakh direct and two lakh indirect jobs. Fadnavis has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the gift received from the Center in the form of a textile park.

In a tweet on March 17, Prime Minister Modi announced setting up of textile parks in seven states of the country. Under this, textile parks will be set up in Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, Dhar in Madhya Pradesh, Amravati in Maharashtra, Warangal in Telangana, Virdhunagar in Tamil Nadu, Kalburgi in Karnataka and Navsari in Gujarat.

Regarding the proposed Textile Park in Amravati, Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis told that a big project is going to start in Maharashtra because of Prime Minister Modi. A mega textile project is coming up in Amravati district with an investment of Rs 10,000 crore. This will provide employment to one lakh people directly and two lakh people indirectly. Fadnavis said that this project is a matter of pride for Maharashtra.

Textile park will develop the area
As Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis, cotton farmers will be greatly benefited by the construction of a cotton park in the cotton belt. Cotton is produced on a large scale in this region. Fadnavis expressed confidence that this mega cotton park would lead to the development of the state. Rajya Sabha member Dr. Anil Bonde credited the efforts of Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis for bringing Textile Park in Amravati. Dr. Bonde has also expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister. Dr. Bonde said that employment will increase due to this park. The textile park will also lead to the development of the area.
