CHICAGO (CBS) — The Blackhawks begin their season on the highway Wednesday, having had a less-than-stellar preseason and going through a tricky opponent proper of out of the gates.
The Blackhawks went 1-5 within the preseason, and they’re in full rebuilding mode. The group is younger and inexperienced, and will likely be going through the defending Stanley Cup Champion Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday night.
But for his half, new Head Coach Luke Richardson is unfazed by the problem that lies forward.
“Really, I’m just only here to support the players and give them as much information or as little as I think necessary to keep them at an ability to feel comfortable to play their best,” Richardson mentioned, “and that’s all I’m really hoping to do.”
